PM Kisan 20th Installment Released: Check Your Account Now! | How to Check PM Kisan 20th Kist 2025

The wait of approximately five and a half months is finally over for farmers. The Prime Minister has now released the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme.

Installment Released from Uttar Pradesh

The Prime Minister initiated the transfer of the 20th installment by pressing a button from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The payment of ₹2000 has been released, and the money has started to be credited to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries.

How to Check Your Payment

Beneficiaries can check their bank account balance to confirm if they have received the payment. For those who have not yet received the funds, there is no need to worry. Banks have now begun releasing the money, and it is expected to be transferred to your account shortly, within 10-20 minutes, half an hour, or an hour.

Details of the Fund Disbursal

The government has released funds for 9 crore 70 lakh (97 million) farmer beneficiaries. A total of ₹20,500 crore has been disbursed by the Government of India in this latest installment.

About the PM Kisan Scheme

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, the Government of India provides ₹6000 annually in three separate installments. The previous 19th installment was released on February 24, 2025.

The Payment Release Process Explained

The government typically sends the funds to the banks in advance, sometimes 10 days or even a month prior to the release date. The banks are instructed to hold these funds and only release them into beneficiary accounts after the Prime Minister officially presses the button to initiate the transfer. As the transfer to 9 crore 70 lakh people cannot happen instantly, there might be a slight delay. It is possible for your neighbor to receive the payment before you do, so patience is advised.

Eligibility and Exclusions

The government has specified certain eligibility criteria. Only one person in a household, between the husband and wife, is eligible to receive the benefit. The scheme follows a “one eligible person per household” rule. Furthermore, individuals who are income tax payers or government employees are not eligible for the PM Kisan scheme, and their payments have been stopped by the government.
