20th Installment Transfer Details
After a very long wait for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the 20th installment is being transferred today, August 2nd. Under this scheme, the Government of India provides farmers with ₹6000 annually in three separate installments. The Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, will initiate the transfer of the ₹2000 installment today at 11:00 AM from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
A list of beneficiaries scheduled to receive the funds has been released. If your name is on this list, you can be assured that the money will be transferred to your account at 11:00 AM once the Prime Minister presses the button. If your name is not on the list, you will not receive the payment today.
A Long-Awaited Payment
The 19th installment was released on February 24th. The transfer of the 20th installment on August 2nd marks a significant delay. This is the first time in the history of the scheme that an installment has taken this long to be transferred. Typically, the funds are released within a four-month period. The initial plan was to release this payment on June 20th from Siwan, Bihar, but due to certain circumstances, it was postponed to August 2nd.
How to Check Your 20th Installment Status
Instead of searching for the beneficiary list, you can directly check your payment status to confirm if you will receive the money. Follow these steps to check the status on the official PFMS portal:
- Open the Google search engine on your phone or laptop.
- Search for “DBT Status Check.”
- Click on the official link for the PFMS (Public Financial Management System) portal of the Government of India.
- Once the PFMS portal is open, find the “Category” dropdown menu and select “PM KISAN.”
- Ensure the next field is set to “Payment.”
- Enter your PM Kisan Registration ID in the designated field.
- Leave the following field blank.
- Enter the captcha code exactly as shown on the screen.
- Click the “Search” button.
Understanding Your Payment Status
After clicking search, your payment status will be displayed. If you are eligible for the current payment, you will see details for the “20th Installment” and an amount of ₹2000 listed.
You may notice a date such as June 14th in the status. This is because the government released the funds to the banks over a month and a half ago to ensure a smooth transfer when initiated. For the payment to be processed today, your status should show an update after June 10th. If your status shows the 20th installment, your wait is over, and the money will be credited to your bank account at 11:00 AM today.
