The government has released a major update regarding the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. This announcement includes a bumper offer for farmers who missed previous payments and provides an expected timeline for the upcoming 19th installment.
Bumper Offer: Receive ₹6,000 with the 19th Installment
For farmers who did not receive their 17th and 18th installments for any reason, the government has made a significant announcement. If these farmers have rectified the issue that caused their payments to be blocked, they will receive a total of ₹6,000 when the 19th installment is released. This amount includes the pending payments for the 17th installment, the 18th installment, and the upcoming 19th installment.
There are millions of farmers across the country whose 17th and 18th installments were stopped. By fixing their account issues, they are now eligible for this combined payment. Farmers who have been receiving their installments regularly will receive the standard ₹2,000 for the 19th installment.
Reasons for Stopped Payments
Installments under the PM Kisan Yojana are typically stopped or blocked due to a few common reasons. Payments for the 17th and 18th installments were halted for farmers who had one of the following issues:
- Land Seeding was not completed.
- Bank Account Seeding was not done.
- Aadhaar e-KYC was incomplete.
How to Check Your Status and Ensure Payment
It is crucial for all beneficiaries to check their status to ensure their 19th installment is not blocked. You can do this on the official PM Kisan portal.
Use the “Know Your Status” option on the website. After entering your registration number and the OTP sent to your mobile, you can view your profile details. For your payment to be processed, the status for Land Seeding, Bank Seeding, and Aadhaar Seeding must all show a green “Yes”. If any of these options show “No”, you must get it corrected immediately, as your 19th installment will not be credited.
Other Important Actions for Farmers
- E-KYC: Completing your e-KYC is mandatory. If you have not done it yet, do it immediately. Even if you are currently receiving payments, your future installments could be cut if e-KYC is incomplete.
- New Farmer Registration: The portal is open for new farmer registrations. Those who are not yet receiving benefits from the scheme can apply now.
- Beneficiary List: A new beneficiary list for the 19th installment has been released. Farmers should check this list on the portal. If your name was on the list for the 18th installment but is missing now, it indicates an issue that needs to be resolved quickly to be included for the 19th installment.
Expected Release Date of the 19th Installment
The 18th installment of the PM Kisan scheme was released on October 5th. The scheme provides three installments annually. According to information from officials at the Farmer Welfare Department, the 19th installment will be released in January as a New Year’s gift to the farmers.
While an official date has not yet been announced, officials have indicated a possibility of the payment being released by January 10th. However, the final date will be fixed based on the Prime Minister’s schedule and could fall in the beginning, middle, or end of January. The official date will be announced once it is finalized.
