₹5000 Payment Under Maiya Samman Yojana 2025: What You Need to Know
The Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana continues to support women beneficiaries with financial aid. Under this scheme, eligible women will receive a combined payment of ₹5000, covering both the 9th and 10th installments.
When Will You Receive ₹5000?
As per the latest update, the government has planned to disburse ₹2500 + ₹2500 to all eligible women. The expected payment date is on or before 15th May 2025. The government has already begun preparations including setting up DBT payment camps in districts like Ranchi and Deoghar.
However, beneficiaries must ensure their DBT payment system is active, otherwise the amount will not be credited.
Why the Delay? Irregularities Under Investigation
A major issue has surfaced from the Henalduri Panchayat in Ghatsila block, East Singhbhum district. Here’s what was found:
- In a list of 409 approved women, 174 were marked as Muslim women.
- The surprising fact: there are reportedly no Muslim families in any of the eight villages of that Panchayat.
- Each of these entries had full details: Aadhar, ration card, mobile number, and more.
- This raised concerns about negligence at the Panchayat and Block levels during approval.
Authorities now suspect:
- Wrong selection of Panchayat during online application
- Or planned misuse through camp-based application by Pragya Kendras
- Or lack of scrutiny by Panchayat Secretaries and Block Development Officers
Action and Cancellation of Invalid Applications
The Block Development Officer (BDO) confirmed that the controversial applications have now been cancelled after internal investigation.
However, a big question remains—if the applications were cancelled, how did some beneficiaries still receive payments from September to December, including the December ₹2500?
The investigation is ongoing. Action is expected against those responsible, whether it is the applicant, officer, or third party.
What Should Beneficiaries Do Now?
If you are an eligible woman under the Maiya Samman Yojana:
- Ensure your DBT payment system is active
- No need to re-register if your application was valid and approved
- Keep an eye on 15th May 2025 for the ₹5000 credit
- Stay alert for fraud or incorrect entries in your village list
Conclusion
The Maiya Samman Yojana continues to benefit women with timely financial assistance. Despite irregularities in certain blocks, the government is moving forward with payments and prioritizing transparent disbursal through DBT. Make sure your information is accurate and active in the system to receive your entitled amount without delays.
